Fire in Edgewater

Donation protected
Yesterday lightning struck a womans home on Azalea Dr. In Edgewater and she lost everything. A little history of this sweet woman... her name is Kathleen Bushong. She is 70 years old woman with disabilities. She has been a huge supporter of our community as she has fostered our area children for about 40 years. About 6 Years ago, at the end of her career she adopted twins. They are now 13 years old. A boy and a girl. 6 years ago the kids lost their bio family as well as all their personal belongings, including their special items from childhood, as these things don't go with the children when they are removed from their homes. They now lost everything new that they acquired over the last 6 years. For some reason I heard a lot about a football last night. The firefighters couldn't find it in the rubble but did manage to save his football cards that mean so much to him. As for his sister, she was too shaken up to think about anything other than what she would wear to bed. By the way, our Edgewater Fire Dept is the best!!!! Long story short, this lady has done so much for so many and I am asking assistance from our community to give back. Any donation no matter how big or small helps.  My past experiences as a claims representative,  I know first hand how long it takes for a person in need to see any indemnity. Right now the need school uniforms, supplies, food, clothes, etc...thank  you so much!
