Fire fighter loses home

My nephew David and his wife Gina Serna lost their home yesterday (August 19, 2020) to the CZU August Complex Fire. Dave has been a firefighter for over 25 years  and currently is with Presidio Fire Dept. in Monterey, CA. While Dave was fighting to protect other people’s homes, property, loved ones and pets from the River Fire in the Santa Lucia Mountain range, his and Gina’s home was lost.  He and Gina lost everything they owned. He has been fighting the fires that are affecting thousands of fellow Californian’s with no time to protect his own home. Their home was located in the Santa Cruz Mountains on Swanton Road. He has been, and continues to be a dedicated first responder and we are all very lucky to have people like him who put it all on the line for our communities. We are all very proud of him and are asking for your support to help them through this difficult time.
