Fire disaster fundraiser for Mr. Montieth.

Hi, UpROAR Leadership Academy (ULA) is fundraising on behalf of Mr. Robert Montieth, our public charter school employee. On Friday, 3/25/2022, Mr. Montieth's home and belongings were destroyed due to a house fire. Also, his nephew was in the home during the fire, and unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

 

This fundraiser is vital to ULA because we consider Mr. Montieth to be family. He's been employed with the school since 2017 as the Lead Janitorial Supervisor. Also, he's a local Charlottean, father, grandfather and friend to many. He's a hard worker who deserves a hand up towards a new beginning.

 

The funds will assist Mr. Montieth with paying his first month's rent of $1100.00 and covering a deposit expense of $2200.00 for new permanent housing. In addition to this, the funds will be used to purchase furniture, a washer & dryer, clothing, and other household items, obtain renter's insurance, create an emergency savings fund, and rebuild everything he has lost in the fire.
