My name is Pauline Ortega and I am raising money for my brother Henry Kruse and his wife Lana who lost their home in a terrible accident. On March 13, 2025, a fire that broke out in a neighbor's shed spilled over onto my brother's property, setting fire to over 75% of their home.

Not only did they lose almost all of their belongings in the fire, but the house was left uninhabitable, leaving them without a place to stay. Since the fire, they have had to alternate from staying in motels to sleeping in their car in their driveway. As far as insurance goes, my brother and his wife were in a rent-to-buy contract, so any money that comes from the insurance on the home will go to the current owner. As of now, they have no idea whether they will be able to return to the home in the future or whether they will have to find a place to try and start over.

They just need help, as anyone would who just lost their home, to stay afloat and get their lives back together.
