<div>Hi, I’m Fin. I’ve been in Scouting since the age of 6, working my way from Beavers to Cubs to Scouts and most recently to Explorers.

<div>Scouting has helped me so much over the last 9 years, I’ve grown in confidence, made great friends, learnt so many skills and tried things I wouldn’t have had the chance to do anywhere else. I was lucky enough to visit Austria with my Scout troop last year and it truly changed my life, experiencing Scouting at an International level was amazing. I pushed myself to do things I wouldn’t have dreamed of doing before, such as meeting other Scouts from around the world, jumping off cliffs into pools of water after being supported earlier in the week to learn to swim by my Scout friends and leaders.

<div>I’ve been chosen to be one of the 36 young people from Gloucestershire who will be travelling to Poland in 2027 to the World Scout Jamboree. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me but I really need some help to get there. The cost of the trip is £3500. I will be fundraising in many different ways on a local level but for those that won’t be able to make it to any events that I’ll be organising, this is the perfect way to help my on my way to Gdansk.

<div>I am hoping that my trip to Poland will give me life skills that I can then use to help others in the future. I am starting my Young Leaders award in Scouting to be able to show other young people how fun and exciting Scouting can be and to support them to go bravely into the world like I hope to.
