Finn Hurricane Fund

Donation protected

My name is Sandra Moore Gibson , and I'm the mother of Alyssa Finn and Mother-in-law to Sean. My kids need help! As I sat here on the West Coast watching the storm and hearing the desperation in my daughters voice to try and remain calm during the storm, as well as trying to keep the children and dogs calm, my heart was breaking.  There was nothing I could do to help them from here. Living in Oregon and having our own issues of wildfires burning out of control, I am STUCK here.   So this is my way of hopefully being able to give them some much needed relief in funds for the damage that the storm brought their way.

The storm brought two and a half inches of water into their home, seeping in under the doorways, as they watched their belongings get soaked, they rushed around the house unplugging electronics, and picking up the valuables on the floors.  It was a very frightening experience for them.  This is their first home, and being told they were in a "low flood risk" area they didn't even KNOW to purchase flood insurance.  Therefore,  FEMA, Red Cross, and home owners insurance wont be able to cover the loss of damages done in their humble abode.  the house sat in 2.5 inches of water for almost an entire day.

They are a young couple with 3 children under the age of 10 at home.  And if you
know them, you know that it was not easy for them to allow me to set this up for
them.

They need IMMEDIATE funds to rent the equipment they need to dry out the carpets, and dry wall.

They will need to replace books, toys, socks and shoes (for everyone in the house).   The items that can be washed will be. But there are things that just are not salvageable.

Dressers (x5)
 desks (x2)
dinner table and chairs (6 chairs total) (water soaked)
carpets
throw rugs

The pantry took a hit with items that were sitting low.
Flour
Sugar
Oatmeal
Cereal
dog food
Rice
potatoes
ramen

And last but not least, my daughter is a pattern designer, she has a lot of fabric items that were lost due to water damage.  They cannot be used for business purposes now, and she doesn't have the money to replace them.  For this, I would take donations of flannel, fleece, interfacing ( specifics to those who ask)

I am the ONLY author of this fund, anything that is duplicated is fraudulent, and you should check with me first (via email) to make sure I have it set up.

Thank you in advance for your kind support.
