Finishing my Architecture Degree

Many of you have asked me what I want for my birthday this year. As you may know, I have been working full time and paying my way through school for some years now. I’ve taken every other semester off to cover the tuition from the previous semester. I am currently in the process of registering for the upcoming spring semester and I realized that I will need a new laptop. The laptop that I have been using for school has met its end after 5+ years. I created this GoFundMe to raise money to buy a new one. Instead of gifts for my birthday, I would like to ask those who can, to please help me reach this goal.
After asking around and doing a bit of research, I’ve decided to purchase a custom ThinkPad P52 from Lenovo. I chose to get a customized laptop because I couldn’t find anything with the right configuration and architecture software that I need. My assignments often require me to use design programs such as AutoCad, Rhino, and Photoshop. I need a laptop that can handle running multiple programs simultaneously without crashing.
Without a laptop, I’ve had to use the computers at school — sometimes having to stay there until the computer lab closes at 11pm. On multiple occasions, I’ve had to leave programs running and just hope that it would still be there when I returned the following evening after work. Having a quality laptop will enable me to complete my assignments at home or when I’m on the go and will give me the flexibility I need to better maintain a work/school/life balance.
