Finish the Roof at Paul Henry's Art Gallery
Donation protected
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 1!
Hello once again from Paul Henry's Art Gallery.
We have some great news!
Both roofs are now on!
However, the structural damage to the roof was extensive: 18 rafters had to be replaced and that area reqired new sheeting before the roof was able to be put on. Even though we had set aside funds to address this issue, the over run was 6K more than what we had anticipated. We would like to settle up with the roofer as soon as possible and get on with the cleanup and some additional repairs to the building from the water over time.
We are again asking for your help! We really need to get operational, so we can begin to host events and activities once again.
The front space is still open for art purchases, 11-4, Tuesday-Saturday.
Thank you for your continued support, Dave and Rita Mueller, Paul Henry's Art Gallery, 416 Sibley, Hammond, IN.
For personal check contributions please send to Paul Henry's Art Gallery, PO Box 995, Hammond, IN 46325
The piano is still silent, and the chairs still wait for Thursday Jams to return!
Art shows have backed up for the past year, like boxcars on a railroad siding. We have reached the edge of the cliff! Most of you know that the gallery actually has four roofs and major wind damage to a second roof in January forced us to use donor dollars to make that unexpected roof repair. Mother Nature still holds a dark cloud over a lower roof. We thank each and everyone of you for the contributions you have made. We must meet this adjusted goal for a final campaign to allow the doors to reopen. Help us get this final push to the new goal off to a running start, and meet the necessary repair expenses as soon as we can! Every $$ dollar counts, and you can donate anonymously.
Here's to new art shows, more music, and a new relaunch of NW Indiana's Art and Music hub.
