Finding The Real Baxter

Baxter is a three year old poodle mix. He came to the shelter when he was a few months old after being found running loose in the Walmart parking lot, no one ever claimed him. He was adopted out and brought back to the shelter after a year with no explanation. Since then he has been adopted out a second time, brought back a few days later with aggression issues. After much coaxing and hours of petting and snuggling Baxter came back around, he is like Jekyll and Hyde He gets extreme anxiety but it comes out of nowhere at random times creating him to them become very scary, minutes later it’s like it never happened he’s back to his playful loving self. We then found the perfect loving woman who had experience with foster children we felt it would be a perfect match, great first few days then Baxter snapped out of no where at his new living mom and was brought back. Baxter is the SWEETEST DOG and is young and has so much potential to bring a family such love and fulfillment! We do not want him to live his life in a 3x4 kennel. Local vets do not offer the specialty care Baxter needs, the vet here believes he may have a tumor in his brain. We would love to get Baxter the testing he needs to see if this is indeed the case and then be able to get him the surgery and or follow on care that would correct this issue to let him live the fulfilling 8-10 years he has left in him! By raising funds for Baxter it will allow us to transport him to the Anchorage area and get the specialty care he needs. We do not want throw in the towel, he deserves a chance at a good life since he’s had a crappy one since birth❤️
