Financial Support For Jen Bauer Education fund

Jennifer Bauer adopted as a baby and was raised in Ontario  and grew up with a loving family. When Jennifer turned 17 years old, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. This left devastation in a teens mind of her future and her overall health. When she was 18 she had the tumor removed and it was successful.

Jennifer married, had 7 lovely children and was working in schools and an education aid. Jennifer started to experience grand mal seizures in 2015 for the second time as she had them with her first brain tumor.  Finding all of this out put strain on the marriage, and Jennifer left with the children to take care of her family and her health as it was turning into abuse. Jennifer couldn't work because of the seizures and had a lot of memory issues due to the tumor. After years of symptoms she was experiencing paralysis she finally went through her second brain surgery to remove the tumor.  The surgeon removed the tumor and the left front temporal lobe which Jen now has a permanent indent in her head from the surgery.  When the surgeons were finishing up with surgery, Jennifer had a stroke on the operating table. This left her partially paralyzed on the right side for three months. Jennifer had to learn to walk, talk and eat again while raising her children as a single parent. Due to the seizures, brain surgery and stroke, Jennifer was not working and was on disability as she was unable to physically work.

Seven and a half months after the surgery, Jennifer was feeling the best she had felt in two years and then suddenly she awoke with 95% hearing lost out of her right ear. It was overnight and was categorized as a sudden sensorineural hearing loss where the body attacks itself and causes a hearing loss. Reasons are unknown but rehabilitation is very difficult since Jenn was working in a school and going back to that environment would be impossible the be efficient in understanding localization of sounds, hearing what the children are saying with face masks now, and just the overall noise in a busy school.

Jennifer came to Swift Hearing Centers on July 23 2020 for a hearing assessment and was confirmed Jennifer had a 95% hearing loss in the right a mild loss in the left. Due to the severity of loss, Jennifer was feeling overwhelmed by the sound loss and missing her children's voices.  Jennifer was able to rent hearing devices from Swift Hearing Centers as she couldn't afford devices as they are $4,900.00 but knew how much they helped her hear!

Jennifer asked Chantelle, Owner of Swift Hearing Centers if she could volunteer to learn about the industry and the field. Chantelle met with her and discussed employment as Jennifer is a very outgoing, social person with a good energy. She would be perfect for the position in a hearing clinic since she has a hearing loss.

Jennifer has been working part-time at Swift Hearing Centers to regain experience in the working field and work on her future career in hearing healthcare. The only issue we are experiencing, is funding for education.

If you have $5-$100 that you could donate to help Jenn reach her dream and help her to get back on the road of success, that would be incredible! She has been such a blessing in the clinic and with other patients, she truly is a kind hearted soul and normally wouldn't be the one to ask for support, but she truly deserves it and needs it more than most do.

This has financially been a huge strain on her family and her ability to retrain in a more suitable work environment.

Thank you for reading this, I really appreciate anything from anyone! Let's work this together and get this girl some dreams accomplished!
