, loving husband, father, brother, son, friend, mailman, Star Trek enthusiast, and last but not least absolute goofball, died in his sleep on Monday night, July 29th. It is agreed by everyone that knew him that he was taken from us far too early, at only 54 years old. He brought a smile to everyone who crossed his path and made connections everywhere he went. As a big lover of music, movies, and games, he was basically a mascot for fun.
Daniel left behind his lovely wife Jennifer who moved from her whole life in Australia over 15 years ago to be with him and share their love together. He is also survived by his two daughters; Des, who has been living with them at home in Portland and Becky who is back in California where he grew up.
Besides being a wonderful family man Daniel also cared deeply for his community and hosted a monthly event called "Movies with the Postman" where he would share his favorite movies at a local retirement home with the elderly as well as hosting meetups in his home for the "Star Trek Fans of the Northwest."
As the DiGiorgio family picks up the pieces they will need to pay for the funeral/celebration of life expenses and need some time to get their feet under them- this means they need financial support. Dan's death is shocking to all of us. Many of the family isn't prepared to travel for the funeral and the last thing Jennifer and Des need right now is to worry about bills while they get adjusted to this tragedy.
Dan was such a caring, passionate, and unique individual. His memory will never be forgotten.
The magnitude of this loss cannot be understated. Please help care for his family in his absence.
Celebration of Life will held in Oregon on Sunday, August 11thEvery prayer, every kind word, and every penny are appreciated. Thank you to everyone.
