Financial Impact After Cancer and Now Covid-19

Donation protected
Can you imagine watching your husband fight for his life through cancer treatment, and after surviving, hear him say "it would have been better if I would have died, you could get out of this mess." Those are the words I heard after we found out they were taking our stimulus money to pay his back child support, it broke my heart.

Our family has much to be grateful for, Feb 3rd we found out my husbands cancer was in remission, March 19th we found out I do not have cancer and finally after a long four year battle we came up with the money to get a attorney to fight for visitation rights with his two youngest girls and hopefully they will soon be joining our family.  But the mental and financial impact of cancer and now the pandemic have been a lot to bare.

My income ended March 15th and although I have filed an unemployment claim, as of today it still has not been processed. I have contacted the unemployment department many times but the people who are answering the line always say they are not able to help fix my claim and that they will pass my information to someone who can, no one ever calls back.

We had to self quarantine twice, the first week they started telling us to self quarantine my husband stayed home from work out of fear of catching this virus so soon after ending cancer treatment and once because my husband was exposed to someone who tested positive at work, thankfully my husband did not have it.

I have started delivering orders for instacart to get money coming in quickly, and I have interviewed for several jobs, hopefully one comes through. My husband works full time but with his child support obligations he does not bring home enough money to help us get out of this situation. We have not qualified for assistance through the non profit locations in our town because we had to use them once last year during my husbands cancer treatment and we cannot get assistance again for a full year.

My insurance is going to get cancelled May 5th, I am on an SR22 so if it gets cancelled I will lose my license and have to start all the way over. All of my creditors, including my landlord have been patient, and helpful, they have given us payment arrangements, but those arrangements are set to expire.  We have a portion of our April rent carrying over and now May is due and our car payment is due as well. When everything started going array, I had to pawn my wedding ring, which no one should ever have to do. If there is anyway possible I can get it out of the pawn shop before things get worse so I do not have to worry about the stress of losing it I would be forever grateful. possible.

As you can imagine, my family was already barley staying afloat  financially and mentally before COVID -19 and we desperately need help NOW. I am asking for help to raise enough money to help us pay our bills through June while I find employment.
