Update: Thank you to everyone who has shared this. The family was able to get a loan for some of the rent money so the request is dropping down to $600 to cover groceries and bills and a little bit of rent. They appreciate all the love that they have received and God is smiling down on them and all of you. If you can help with either groceries or a few bucks that is much appreciated. The fear of losing their home is now gone and things are evening out. Thank you again and anything helps.
It's been a hard time of year for this amazing family. Jon had a really bad Seizure back in late November and has been put on Temporary Disability since then. He works in construction and is the only source of income for his family of 6. His lovely wife Rosa is a stay at home mom and spends her days taking care of Isabella 9 and the twins, GG and Emma, who are 4. Jon's mom lives with them as well and deals with debilitating Rheumatoid Arthritis. Estella, Mom, can barely walk but still works part time as a care giver in order to help provide for their family of 6.
I have never met a more loving and dedicated family. Even though times have been extremely hard over the past few months, they are still as bonded as ever and are not letting this stress get them down during the holidays.
Jon has been cleared to go back to work, pending a couple more tests. The part that we are asking for help with is Rent for the month of January. They have already pawned everything that they had in order to make December's rent and are at a point where a GoFundMe is their only option.
They are humble and honest people and didn't want to have to ask others for help, so I'm doing it for them.
The 6 of them live in a 2/2 and the fear of losing what little they have is extremely real right now. They are doing their best to get help from Welfare, but as a lot of us know that can take weeks or months. The threat of eviction is here and they need HELP!!
If you or anyone you know can help with any amount of funds, this will ensure that they can pay rent and by next month they will be back on their feet.
