Financial help due to work related accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Elisia, I am creating this on behalf of my stepmom Stephanie who works construction and is probably one of the hardest working people I know.
She was in an unbelievable accident back in October of 2022 while running a tractor broom at work that should have never happened due to a drunk driver and it’s turned her life upside down.
My stepmom was severely hurt. Her neck, shoulder and lower back was injured in this accident. She still has not been able to go back to work. My parents lost their home, cars, livelihood, etc. Stephanie recently had major back surgery, (a year after accident) when physical therapy, injections and everything else failed to help.
Stephanie’s surgery was over 7 hours long. She had to have a an L4/L5/S1 fusion done. The doctor removed 2 of her lower discs and replaced them with artificial ones. This is a very tough surgery. It’s been very rough on her. Stephanie is still in physical therapy 3 days a week. She is in a lot of pain all day everyday and sleeping a night is very difficult.
Since the accident, my dad has to help Stephanie bathe, dress herself, get in and out of bed, and other simple daily activities that she cannot physically do on her own.
Stephanie is the main breadwinner...they went from a comfortable life to struggling due to no fault of her own. They really just need help...two years is a long time to go without the income your lifestyle has adapted to and there isn't anything she can do about it.
She is still taking care of my two younger siblings, but she just needs as much help as anyone is willing to give. It’s been a very difficult 2 years!! And she still has a long road to go!!!

She is STILL in court trying to fight for workers compensation, the company she worked for has not offered much help. We have tried government assistance, but they deny her every time. They are currently having to move from their current apt to find a cheaper one. Being out of work leaves her with no income and the bills just keep coming in.
We are happy to show proof of accident and surgery if need be. This is really our last option. Thank you in advance.
