<div>Me and my now ex boyfriend got pregnant last year and we moved into an apartment together close to my family. A month in, he left us. I worked 3 jobs while pregnant to cover my rent: $1,450/month, car payment $490, car insurance $290, phone bill, national grid, etc. totaling $2500 in bills a month. I was making it but barely. My water broke April 14th and I gave birth to my beautiful babygirl on April 19th 6 weeks early weighing 4 pounds 5 ounces. I was taken out of work on the 14th. I was not eligible for PFL by 5 days through my employer. DSS eventually picked it up and I was able to pay half months of rent with what I received. I then contacted catholic charities 3x throughout this process, I’ve contacted captains 3x, and my local churches. One of the places had offered me 500$ but I had to match it, totaling 1000, but I couldn’t because had just had my baby and didn’t have any income. The second time I applied resulted in the same offer. The third time was no success. My local churches are out of funds. I’m behind 2 months with everything, but that’s not my biggest issue. My biggest issue is my lease ends October 17th because that’s when I moved in last year. Being that I’m behind and can’t afford to stay I have no choice but to leave. My family doesn’t have room and the woman’s and children’s shelter in my area doesn’t accept infants I was told by wellspring. I’m at a loss. And these places have been telling me pretty much there’s nothing anyone can do until I’m homeless. Section 8 is closed, I do have cleaning gigs on the side but no child care and no way to afford childcare. I can’t find an apartment in the area that’s affordable for me and my baby either. I guess I’m trying to raise money for us so that we can get into a place and not have to worry for a couple months until I get back on my feet, and she gets better.. but in just 4 months she’s scheduled to have surgery to remove 3 possible cysts or lipomas from her spine.

<div>I’ve given back my entire life and I’d rather be homeless than to ask for help but now I have a daughter that depends on me and I’m so so scared. I know we’re all struggling, but believe me when I tell you I’m on my knees begging god to give me a sign that we’re going to be okay. It’s starting to get cold and I don’t know what to do. Even a share means so much to me truly. Anything made on here will be saved up to move me and my baby into a place and hopefully be okay until I can go back to work after her surgery.
