Financial Assistance for the Fish Family

Friends and Family of Nichole and Elbert Fish,

As many of you know, Maxwell has been serving a mission in Popayan, Colombia, a very dangerous part of the world. Two nights ago he and his missionary companion were sent to a location that was supposedly safer to sleep for the night and were meeting up with other missionaries that would be staying in the same location for the very same reason. When Max and his companion arrived, the other missionaries were being robbed and somehow Max was stabbed, severing an artery in his neck. Max lost a lot of blood and his companion had to drag his unconscious body to where there was help so that he could then be transported to the hospital where he had two emergency surgeries. In the meantime, his parents had to scramble to obtain emergency passports to Colombia and get an overnight flight to be with him. Max had yet another emergency surgery while they were in flight.

Nichole says that it’s not looking good and that Max remains on life support. Tomorrow morning he has a fourth surgery and the hope is that he can be taken off life support and transported back to the United States later in the week.

Nichole and Elbert are both missing work due to all of this and there are a lot of unexpected costs related to this tragedy. Please consider donating to help them out.
