Financial Aid for Critically Ill First Time Mom

Donation protected
My 23 yr old daughter Taylor, who was 37 weeks pregnant, was recently hospitalized the day after Christmas and diagnosed with Covid and pneumonia, she also suffers from asthma on top of these somber diagnoses. She was sedated, intubated, and vented. Due to the stress and pain on her body and high blood pressure,  Taylor had to deliver baby Orion early via C-section. She was immediately moved to ICU. On Saturday January 2nd they decided to move Taylor to Jewish Heart and Lung Center so she could be placed on an ECMO machine to try to help her lungs. Taylor hit a bump in the road during transport when her heart stopped for 19 minutes. Thankfully by the grace of God and the medical staff, they performed CPR and were able to revive her. At the time, her pupil responses were good, and she is continuing treatment and she is making small steps of progress each day, but she is still in critical condition.

Upon giving birth she has not been able to hold nor see her son and the baby's grandfather had to go directly to the hospital to take care of baby Orion as he was put in isolation on the pediatric floor. Baby Orion's grandfather stayed at the hospital with the baby from the time he was born on 12/29 until he was released on 1/1/2021 since he was the only family member that tested negative. Orion's dad has not been able to see or hold his son as well since he and the rest of the immediate family members have had to self-quarantine and have been off work due to a positive diagnosis of Covid also.

Our family has had an extremely devastating year due to on June 17th, 2020 losing our 29 yr old son Brandon unexpectedly due to complications from a cardiac ablation procedure. As you can see our family has suffered an extremely difficult seven months, but we are getting good feedback day by day on Taylor's condition, but we know that this is going to be a VERY long road ahead and we know there will be some setbacks with Taylor's long journey to recovery to get her home. We are still unsure of the neurological effects that she may have due to her heart stopping and being resuscitated after about 19 minutes. We have been told that once she has been released from the hospital she will need be admitted for rehabilitation, possibly for several months.

We look forward to her being released from the hospital, but we need assistance to help take care of Taylor throughout the rehabilitation process. Mortgage payments, car payments, and utility bills are among the many essentials that we are mainly concerned about, but we would like to have food, gas, and other basic necessities covered so it can take some burden and stress off the family’s shoulders while we cater to Taylor. Any assistance, even a share will be IMMENSLY appreciated. Thank you for considering our plea.
