Bello Solutions - Finalizing the Functional Prototype
Welcome to Bello's fundraiser!
Bello Solutions was created over a year ago with a simple objective: to provide purified and personalized water at home without using plastic bottles. After working endless hours throughout the year, and validating our concept with experts and future consumers, we ask for your help to give us a boost in our project. This fundraiser will permit the Bello Team to finalize a functional prototype. Bello aims to be more autonomous, proactive, and, ultimately, save significant development costs.
Bello’s Solution
The Bello Team has observed everyday habits to offer an ideal solution that can profoundly change the way we drink. The answer had to be environmentally and economically superior to plastic bottles. Bello has designed and developed a water dispenser that offers endless mineral water choices and flavors from tap water. The team was inspired by nature and the natural water cycle. A unique technology was developed to purify water and eliminate any contaminants. An additional feature allows the users to re-energize the water by adding the essential minerals and flavor(s) of their choice. The minerals and flavors are concentrated in cartridges, which each produce 200L of mineral water. The Bello Team is developing unique formulas that will considerably supplement the daily intake of essential minerals and vitamins needed in your daily routine, making it easy and fun for you to customize your water!
Bello’s History
Marc Schaal and Clément Bouland met in 2016 at an engineering school located in Montreal, Quebec. After discovering similar values and work ethic, it was unquestionable a strong partnership would be created. They have spent countless hours discussing and debating the challenges our generation is currently facing. The topic surrounding poor quality tap water compelling individuals to purchase non-reusable plastic bottles was a theme in every discussion. The answer was clear and straightforward: Create good water quality from tap water, accessible and free. It was not long before Bello Solutions was created!
The Bello Team first targeted the corporate market (B2B). With significant progress, several prototypes were developed. The progress made permitted the team to participate in several entrepreneurship competitions in Canada, which lead them to integrate into an incubator, Centech ETS.
Countless hours were devoted to the Bello Project. Both Marc and Clément spent nearly 15 hours a day, seven days a week, to develop business plans and prototypes, and plan numerous meetings with experts and investors. The Bello Team experienced moments of euphoria and success but also accumulated some defeats and disappointments. There were ultimately many obstacles along the way; something wasn’t working. Close to exhaustion and discouragement, Marc and Clément returned to France during the Christmas holidays to reflect on Bello's future.
Restarting from Zero
Once returning to Montreal, the team went back to the drawing board. This time, Marc and Clément made a promise to each other that they were going to have fun during the process of creating a product that will be used in their everyday routine.
Shortly after designing the new guidelines, Alexandre Coëffet joined the team. After obtaining his engineering degree, he is pursuing his masters at HEC Montreal. Alexandre brought to the Bello Team his strategic knowledge. Still, his dedication, remarkable efforts, and similar work ethic made it a simple decision for Marc and Clément to include Alexandre in the Bello Family.
After six months of work, the Bello Team's first functional prototype is on the verge of being complete. The Team is pleased to announce that they have recently been accepted into District 3, a recognized incubator in Montreal and North America, which will undoubtedly allow the Bello Team to advance in taking new steps in the development and short-term financing.
The Purpose of the Fundraiser
This fundraiser will aid in a vital stage in the development and finalization of the Bello Water dispenser prototype. The collaboration with an expert prototype company, Tak Design, will allow the Bello Team to finalize the water system and necessary certifications, including the ANSI, NSF 61, and 62 standards on consumer goods for drinking water.
