Final expenses for Jeffery Sessoms

Donation protected

Today we say farewell to a family member, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a friend, a co-worker, and one of God’s children.

Today we sadly say goodbye to Jeffery M Sessoms (49), A resident of both Mocksville, NC & Fairbanks, AK.

On Sunday, June 7th, 2020 The sheriffs Department of Lexington North Carolina contacted the family that they had found what they had presumed to be Jeffery’s body behind a Bojangles restaurant. Jeff had gone missing for a short period of time prior to them finding him. It is believed that Jeff is finally reuniting with his mother and father who both passed away years ago and he openly missed dearly.

Jeffrey had three children who are going to be dealing with the loss of their father for many years to come. Mickey Phillippi (28), Nicole Sessoms (27), & River Sessoms (2). He also left behind a handsome grandson Malik and a beautiful granddaughter Alice.
Jeff also leaves behind four sisters, Shannon Sessoms, Jacqueline  Register, Teresa McLane, and Carla Dixon. Not to forget a handful

of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeff always made it a point to express his love for his family although he may have been the world’s worst at picking up the phone to call and check on somebody.

Throughout Jeff’s life he had his ups and his downs. He loved to tell stories of when he was younger. Even though he battled depression and health issues for many years he always seemed to find the good in the bad. Jeff always tried to work hard but made sure to save space so he could play hard also. Hanging out with Jeff always seemed to make for a great day. In his life there were more than plenty of fun times that started with the words “Hold my beer and watch this“, although many of them times he would limp away while everyone else got to enjoy the laughter which he created. All of my favorite stories to hear consisted of Jeff, a couple beers, A hot summer day, a steep hill in the backyard, and a slip and slide that stopped just before the chain-link fence at the bottom of the hill. I will let your imagination go in all the blanks on that story which I’m sure even after his passing will still put a smile on everybody’s face.

I truly believe Jeff’s favorite two things in the world were older muscle cars and Mountain Dew. I don’t think I can remember a single day passing by without a conversation about an old muscle car and a can, bottle, or cup of Mountain Dew in his hand.

Through this hard time, Jeff’s family is going to try to plan a get together to remember him. Arrangements will be broadcast to his friends and family once they’re planned.

We are asking for donations to help cover Jeff’s final expenses and to create a trust fund for his two-year-old son, River Sessoms. This trust fund will go into a bank account to accrue interest so that when River graduates high school the funds will be made available to pay for college. Unfortunately River is too young to know or remember his father but this trust fund will be a way for him to know that his dad loved him. Please take a moment and make a donation and forward this on to any of your friends that may have known Jeff or any of Jeff’s family.

Jeff (Fatboy), You were taken from us too soon, we will all miss you, and we all love you very much. Please watch over your family, especially your children and grandchildren. Keep smiles on their faces and memories in their hearts.

Until we meet again ol man. Love you bro.
