Final expenses for Dennis Donovan

Unfortunately, Dennis let his life insurance lapse (don't do that!). His passing was unexpected and the family is unprepared. This would cover the cost of basic cremation, death certificates and Sharon's choice of urn.  We are trying to put together what we can, but she has only his social security and pension, both of which are being reduced with his passing, while I'm on disability.
I was not aware that payments for final expenses are not an option and must be made in full upfront. I don't enjoy asking for help, but I need it. Anything you can spare makes a difference. And if you can't afford it, I understand too well.
