Final Expense fund for Tom Demaray, Sr.

Donation protected
On Friday, November 27th, my children lost their grandfather, Mr. Tom Demaray, Sr., to complications of COVID. Tom was a man with an enormous heart, and spirit, and his loss leaves a void for our family. As a Tribal elder, veteran, knowledge keeper, ceremony and family man, Tom's big laugh, smile, and warmth and welcome for all who knew him will be deeply missed.

Tom leaves behind children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom he loved deeply and spent much of his life caring for. He came from humble beginnings. He was born in Elbowoods, on June 13, 1949 to Flora Demaray and Bernard Mandan. He was raised by Richard “Dick” Demaray and always called Dick his father. Tom was a member of the Knife Clan and a baby Low Cap. His Indian name was "High Holy Bull”; and he was a member of Veterans Post 271 and post 9061.  He spent a great deal of time growing up with his uncle Donald and spoke Hidatsa. Tom's enduring legacy is in the spiritual life he taught his children, and which he himself came to in his later years. He is now survived by a large and loving clan.

This GoFundMe will be used to defray his final expenses, and will be used immediately to cover costs associated with his funeral. Tom's eldest son, Allan Thomas Demaray, Jr. is in charge of final expenses, and has given me permission to create this fundraiser on his behalf.

Anything that can be donated is deeply appreciated, and will help the family in their time of grief.  We are so grateful for your help, in advance.
