My name is Amri Rigby. I am a filmmaker studying at the University of Southern California’s Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy. I am also 1 of 15 filmmakers chosen for the 2018 Sundance Ignite Fellowship.
I was recently selected as 1 of 48 filmmakers from around the world to participate in a workshop in the Peruvian jungle to create my own short film under the guidance of Werner Herzog. This workshop organized by Black Factory Cinema will be developed in the surroundings of the Tambopata National Reserve, one of the last virgin tropical rainforests in the world. I am raising money to participate in this program and would love to have your help!
From May 1-12th, I will be submerged in the Peruvian Amazonias, embarking on a wonderful adventure guided by Werner Herzog. In addition to having the opportunity to create my own short in Peru, the best shorts will be distributed through International Film Festivals and other exhibition channels.
The money that you pledge to my campaign will go towards the program tuition, the cost of my plane ticket, passport, international medical insurance and contingencies. In order to participate in the program, I will need to pay by Monday, March 12th.
