FIKILE NEEDS OUR HELP

Fikile Needs Our Help. . FIKILE is a single Zulu mother who lives in an ‘informal settlement’ in South Africa. outside my hometown, eThekweni, Kwa Zulu Natal (formerly known as Durban, Natal) Living conditions are DIRE with NO RUNNING WATER or TOILET , NO ELECTRICITY in her single room makeshift ‘home’. . Fikile battles to make ends meet, she struggles daily to try get work as a ‘domestic cleaner’ to provide for herself, her 2 daughters Amahle, (8yrs) and Snenhlanhla, (17yrs) who has a newborn baby, Thandanani which means ‘love each other no matter what’ , born 7/06/20. Sadly, Fikile’s husband died in 2012 leaving her to care for their children. I’m appealing for financial donations to help Fikile to buy food, basic provisions, education. Depending on the generosity of people she might be able to buy a tiny plot of land to build a home on; this is the dream. . It would be a blessing for Amahle to have a mattress to sleep on and call her own as she currently sleeps on a couch; as well as for her to gain an education. Fikile, Snenhlanhla; baby Thandanani share a single mattress. . With the kindness of strangers once Fikile has a decent home for her family she might be able to dream of studying something to educate herself, or starting a small business, however, all Fikile is currently able to pursue is daily survival. . Please help us to change the lives of this young family. . All financial donations will be greatly appreciated, no matter how small, any contribution will help to ease the burden for Fikile, Snenhlanhla, Amhale and Thandanani. . Plz note that EVERY DONATION COUNTS is going directly towards helping to change the lives of this desperately poor family. . Fikile has NO relatives to help her, she was abandoned by her mother who sold into so-called ‘care’ where her foster father sexually abused her for years throughout her fragile childhood. She accepted her traumatic life circumstances with grace and resilience and pours her energy into trying to provide a loving, safe life for her daughters and newborn granddaughter. . It’s with great sadness to all concerned that Snehlanhla has Aids, for which she is currently receiving retroviral treatment. Sadly, as a result of life pressure she had run away from home by 15yrs old, she spent some time living on the streets. She returned home to Fikile at 5mnths pregnant who accepted her with open arms. . Update 12/06- Been to the clinic for a checkup of the baby. All fine but sadly Snehlanhla cannot breastfeed as her antibodies are too low, baby will have to be fed formula milk. . Fikile truly is a devoted, inspirational mother who lights up the world with her fortitude. .
