Volunteering in Fiji 2019
Donation protected
“VESA aim to inspire personal growth and create real, lasting change by working hand in hand with indigenous village communities to create real and lasting change in the Amazon, Africa, Laos and Fiji.”
From January 6th until January 19th 2019, I will be embarking on a volunteer trip to Fiji. Here, I will be staying in a Fijian home in a rural village, working to construct rain water catchment tanks, teach English, science, and maths at a local school, and restore the school equipment and buildings. I will also aid in running workshops demonstrating proper hygiene techniques and the importance of nutrition and a healthy diet, which are important to the overall health of the village. The money I hopefully will raise by the 15th of November will be directly assisting with the costs involved in participating in the program. These costs are significant and include hiring local skilled trades people to supervise and assist in the building projects, along with all building materials and donations to local organisations.
Unfortunately, I am an 18-year-old University student who does not have the means to fund the whole experience on my own. So, I ask you to please donate generously. Your donations will only cover the basic cost (flights, insurance, building materials, etc.); any aditional activities will come directly from my own earned money. This is an incredible opportunity for me to aid those who are in need, and your opportunity to do so through me. Your support would mean the world to me and those who will benefit from your donation.
