Help us address a growing crisis in Fiji right now - that of the livelihoods of those working in the tourism sector.

In terms of COVID-19 virus case numbers, Fiji has been spared. Yet without international visitors, the toll on our tourism sector has been and continues to be, devastating.
Some of Fiji's wonderful hospitality staff, renowned worldwide as the 'happiest people' in the world, are now going hungry due to no work and little public recourse.
This has become a genuine crisis. We are now compelled to help.
Families cannot afford to eat. Children are routinely not being sent to school. If they are, they are often sent with no food. Many staff do not even have the money to travel home to their villages to be with family.
Some properties have committed to keeping their teams on and they are receiving some funds. Sadly, others have not been able to do so.
The result, plain and simple, is hunger.
The warmth and happiness brought to guests by our genuine hosts have created beautiful happy memories for so many people across the world.
But there is little happiness right now amongst those who give so much to others.
To change this growing wave of sadness and uncertainty, we are undertaking the task of distributing food vouchers. These will be given directly to those affected workers. We see this as an instant, practical way of feeding their children and extended family members.
$25 will feed two school children their lunches for a week
$75 will feed dinner to a family for a week
$100 will feed one family 3 meals a day for a week
$150 will feed one person for a month
We understand this is a difficult time for everyone. If you can help, we know this gesture will return smiles of gratitude to many Fijian faces.
Please donate whatever you can. And you'll be giving a Fijian family in need an entire meal.
The families we want to help are mostly hotel and tourism workers from the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands and associated tourism companies.
We are sharing this fundraiser with our tourism colleagues to reach as many of the worst affected people we can. We have a committee on the ground in Fiji, ready to purchase and distribute vouchers to those in need.
