Kevin Rock- Benefit Fund

On Sunday Sept 28, my friend and music business associate, Kevin Rock, was carefully trimming branches above his house from a ladder. After he completed the task, he went back up on the ladder, above the roof, to untie the safety lines. There was a bobble, the ladder slipped and Kevin fell off the ladder, onto the roof and then to the ground, breaking his neck from an 18 foot fall. He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance and went into surgery the next day. While he is fortunate to not be paralyzed, he has a long road ahead, starting with a minimum three months in a full neck brace.
I'm reaching out on behalf of Kevin to raise money to help offset part of his staggering medical and health care bills and costs (he did not have health insurance as many in the music industry don't).
If you know Kevin, you already know what a great guy he is. What you may not know about Kevin is that he has been putting on fundraisers and benefits for others in need for many years. I'm sure he never expected to be the one in need. He is also involved in helping stage a number of charity events annually.
Kevin is the co-owner of KMP, a relatively new booking agency and as such, we have put every cent back into building the business and promoting our artists. There are no assets or nest eggs to help with or draw from for this kind of tragedy.
Every little bit that's donated will help him get through this- his homeowner's insurance only covers others, not the owner, so he gets no relief from that either and bills already are starting to pile up without a way for him to take care of them while he recovers.
If you know Kevin, you will know he is not the kind of guy to ask for help. Which is why I'm asking you now on his behalf.
His surgery was a success but what lies ahead of him now is the biggest challenge he's probably ever faced. I'm going to make sure he's not doing it alone. If you can afford even a small donation, it will make a difference in his life and he can concentrate on his recovery and getting back on his feet.
We have already been blessed by the outpouring of love and prayers. Thank you all so much.
