Figure 8 Trailer

This go fund me account is being created, so that Izaiah Morrast and I (Casey Subero) can develop a short trailer for a script series we've created called Figure 8. Growing up we loved watching and breaking down movies , and a few years ago we got into writing our own screenplays . This is our second screenplay we've done together and this time around we want to get the attention of production companies by not just having a completed script, but having something visual as well. This trailer will help us preview our idea to potential buyers, so that the series can actually go into development.  Therefore, the money will go to us paying the director of the trailer, the actors, and any other expenses attached to this project. Getting this done will be a huge step in the right direction and we will surely appreciate any donations that are made. We plan to save for about a year so we can make a high quality trailer.  To give you an Idea of what story we're trying to tell we've added a short description of the screenplay we wrote.

 How far can an Elite Athlete go with the weight of a troubled home on his shoulders, and doing his best to dodge LA Street life? Can he really make it unscathed?  

In the height of Gang Culture in the LA area, and while the hip-hop culture is starting to brew, a talented 8th grader by the name of DJ lights the city on fire with his maturity on the court. The city becomes enamored by his ball playing ability and the pressure is on as he becomes a top prospect, not only for high school, but some of the best NCAA programs for college basketball. His basketball games can only be compared to the hype of a Tyson fight in his hay day.  Unfortunately, DJ is forced to become the man of the house at a very young age due  to his mother spending most of her time running the streets. Around the way DJ is treated like a superstar, although at times he’s just trying to have fun with his best friend Lucas and chase girls on bikes. With all the attention from the neighborhood , DJ starts to look like a money ticket and not just a pre-teen with average growing pains. DJ starts to feel the world at his finger tips as he starts his quest to be the best that ever did it.
