#FIGHTLIKEAKID For Aidan Hogg!!!

This week has dealt us all a devastating blow after hearing the news that 15yr Aidan Hogg is fighting Leukaemia.
His mum, Emma, has done so much to help raise much needed awareness and funds for others that it seems only fitting that we all try and give some of that same help and support back to the family.
Aidan had initially been at the doctors on the 1st of March with lower back pain which the doctor prescribed antibiotics thinking it was a kidney infection but after wakening in the early hours of the 4th of March with reduced feeling in his legs, he was taken to A&E where the family were dealt the worst news possible.
From speaking with Emma, she has been told by the doctors at Edinburgh Sick Children's Hospital that the Leukaemia has formed two masses on Aidan's spinal chord and this has caused damage to the nerves resulting in Aidan sadly losing all feeling in his legs. The medical team have said that an operation to try and remove these masses would be too risky so Aidan will instead face 6mths of Chemo and radiotherapy too with an initial 6wk stay in hospital with his Mum and Dad taking it in turns to stay with their son. It has also been relayed to the family that Aidan may sadly never walk again.
The money raised will be used for whatever will help and support the family through this horrendous time and if it can lighten the load for them just a bit, then thats all we can hope for.
