In September 2014, upon doing a self breast exam my sister Sarah, age 27, found a lump in her right breast. A biopsy revealed that it was an agressive form of breast cancer (more specifically diagnosed as poorly differentiated invasive ductal carcinoma).
Sarah and her fiance, Will, were in the midst of planning their wedding when she was diagnosed. Unfortunately, those plans have been put on hold while she fights this terrible disease.
Sarah is a Speech Language Pathologist who is passionate about her career and currently works with those who have suffered TBIs and strokes. As a new graduate, she is still working to pay off her educational debt and is now facing enormous medical bills with ongoing treatment.
I am hoping to raise enough money to help my sister pay off the debt associated with the treatment that will save her life. This will lift a huge burden off of her shoulders.
