Fighting WITH Shantel!!!

GREETINGS, Family, friends, fellow fighters, clergy and Angel donors. My name is Kavahna Heard and I am organizing this fund on behalf of someone who makes up a large portion of many of our hearts! Our sister and friend Shantel! She has recently been diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. The specific name is I.D.C (Invasive Duct Carcinoma)! It is aggressive and has spread to another area YET it is contained. THE FIGHT IS ON! She will begin chemotherapy in just a few days. I am organizing this fund and other opportunities to sow, because after listening, knowing the depths of the circumstances, we need prayers and we need funds! Shantel is the sole provider for her 4 children and household. Every expense and every bill, she bears the responsibility of paying! She works multiple jobs to make ends meet and this has placed an unforeseen financial burden on her already! Nobody that I know just has an in case I get cancer fund, and I refuse to help everyone including strangers and watch my best friend and sister sink! There are medical bills that will not be covered, things needed on a monthly basis to prevent other things from damaging, and a plethora of other expenses related to this fight. We have applied for multiple insurance programs, and those take time to be approved and also there are no guarantees. She will continue to work but there are no guarantees that she’ll have the physical strength to even do that. She’s a fighter! One of her jobs is her catering business “Epiphany Season” which had just began to take off. That supplemental income will be lost until she’s back on her feet. She also does event coordination services in partnership with Summer woods, of which she will no longer be able to do. She has two jobs that she works weekly which are her primary sources of income which I will not disclose for her privacy, one of which her FMLA hours are currently not met! She is strategizing how to get it done despite knowing that there are days ahead that she just may not be able to. I love Shan as many of you do! She is worthy of the support. She would never ask! But I will! So please don’t be intimidated by the amount set. Treatment can last for a year and sometimes longer! I am hoping for the best and preparing to not let her see a hungry day, a shut off notice or her and her children at risk of losing their home .
