Fighting with Holly

My best friend, soulmate and wife for 18 years was given the news no one wants to hear but affects so many "You have breast cancer". We were told this 6 years ago  when she was the young age of 30, and like so many others in our shoes we were in shock and disbelief.   After absorbing the devastating news we vowed that we would not look back and we would beat it together.  After much support, prayers and being blessed with amazing doctors she was given the all clear one year later.  As we knew there was always a chance that it may come back one day, we never expected the news we would receive 5 years later and just 3 weeks ago.  While experiencing extreme pain in her chest we found ourselves in the emergency room.  We were not prepared for what they were going to tell us.  Through a CT scan they saw cancerous lesions in her liver and directed us to the Cancer Center.  As we fast forward to this previous week the doctors not only confirmed our biggest fear but we were hit with even more gut punching news.  The cancer had also traveled to the brain and she was in need of brain surgery or she had less than 3 weeks to live.  I type this as I sit next to her in the hospital with surgery scheduled for tomorrow.  The thing is, Holly and I are not scared as like before we have faith, outpouring support and top notch doctors.  The reason for me starting this page is for two reasons. We do have insurance but like before the doctor bills will be extreme and any financial assistance will help to keep the focus on Holly.  The second reason for this page is there are places Holly has always wanted to see and I am hoping that if enough money is raised we can go somewhere she has only dreamed about to share some everlasting moments.  This has been difficult to do as we have never been ones to ask for anything but during this trying time we have swallowed our pride and realize there are people that want to help.  We are forever grateful and if you cannot donate we ask that you keep Holly and me in your thoughts and prayers as we head into a storm like we have never seen.
