Hey Family and Friends!
I’ve decided to make this GoFundMe account for a very close friend of mine who is fighting stage 4 breast cancer, not for the first, but for the second time. Diane is an amazing mother of 3 and grammy of 4 beautiful grand babies. She’s one of the strongest, most positive, and spiritual women I’ve ever met. It was 15+ years ago when Diane fought breast cancer for the first time. She went through the Chemo with 8+ sessions followed by radiation, and follow up doctors visits. Diane fought hard and won that battle!!
About 3 years ago, Diane came to see me and told me about how she wasn’t feeling well and that she was going to go to a new doctor to see what’s going on. When she went to the doctor, she got news that not only was her stage 4 breast cancer back, but now she also had stage 2 thyroid cancer. Since then, Diane has been fighting with all she has left.
Just recently she was put on a new medication that her insurance won’t cover. Just today she informed me that for 21 pills it costs her $5,000. Her insurance will cover $2,000. Diane is left to pay $3,000 for not even a months worth of medication. These are the meds that keep her cancer from growing and that keep her going everyday...
