<div>On November 7th, 2025, I’ll be stepping into the boxing ring for the very first time. I’ve trained recreationally for years, but this time it’s not about fitness or courage—it’s about fighting for something bigger: the Parkinson’s community.

<div>I’m taking part in Guns N Hoses, a charity boxing event where current and former First Responders step into the ring to raise funds for <strong><em>Punch Out Parkinson’s</em></strong>. This incredible registered charity offers boxing classes tailored to people living with Parkinson’s, social programs to reduce isolation, and is working toward opening a dedicated Parkinson’s wellness centre in our community. These services bring strength, hope, and connection to so many families.

<div>My father-in-law, a retired Vancouver Police officer who has been like a father to me, now faces the daily challenges of Parkinson’s with courage and resilience. His strength—and the strength I see in others living with Parkinson’s—has inspired me to step up and fight for this community.

<div>Boxing has always been my anchor. It’s helped me through tough times, kept me grounded, and strengthened both my mental and physical health. But I’ve never had the courage to step into the ring—until now. 
</div>
<div>At 36, as a mom to a 3-year-old daughter, I want to show her that even when something scares you, you fight for what matters.

<div>My goal is to raise $3,000 for Punch Out Parkinson’s. Every single donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference in the lives of people living with Parkinson’s and their families.
