My Wife never stops fighting for us — three jobs, no rest. I’m just asking for a some help to give her a some breathing room and help us hold on, so we don't lose our home.
My Wife Is Doing Everything to Keep Us Afloat — We Need Help
My name is Paul, and my wife Heather is the hardest working person I’ve ever known. She’s been carrying both of us — and our home — for more than a year while we wait for my Social Security Disability case to finally move forward.
Since I became unable to work, she’s taken on three jobs just to keep us going:
Assistant Manager at Aldi
Driving Uber, either for a few hours before closing or after opening at Aldi
Running her own small resale business, Northstar Picker, trying to bring in anything extra she can
She barely sleeps, yet somehow keeps going. Even with all that, it’s barely enough to keep the lights on. We’re now six mortgage payments behind on our home and falling behind on basic bills — utilities, insurance, and groceries. There are days we’ve had to choose between food and keeping a bill from falling further behind.
We entered a forbearance to avoid losing our home, but it only lasts until April 2026. After that, we’ve been told there will be no more help. My SSDI case has been pending for over a year and a half, and despite my lawyer’s efforts, the court backlog in Minnesota means we might not even get a hearing until next spring.
Where your help goes
Every bit raised will go toward:
- Mortgage payments to keep our home secure
- Overdue bills and utilities so we can stay current
- Groceries and essentials — even the basics have become difficult to afford
Why we’re asking
We’ve always worked hard for everything we have. Asking for help isn’t easy, but we’re running out of options. Heather never complains, even when she’s running on fumes. Watching her give everything she has — and still come up short — is heartbreaking.
This GoFundMe isn’t just about keeping up with bills — it’s about taking some of the weight off of Heather’s shoulders. She’s been holding everything together by herself for too long, and she deserves a moment to breathe.
We just need a bridge to get through this waiting period until my disability case is finally resolved.
How you can help
- If you can donate, it will help us cover the essentials and give Heather a little breathing room.
- If you can’t donate, please share this page anywhere you can — every share helps us reach someone who might be able to help.
We’re deeply grateful for every act of kindness — for reading, sharing, donating, or simply caring.
❤️ Paul & Heather
