Fighting to keep my son close to me

Those of you who know me, know how hard it is for me to ask for help. It's in my nature...I just carry things.
I put the burden on my back and I shoulder it. It has been a long lesson in learning when to put things down and let things go. This is something I will not let go.
My ex wife is trying to move to Iowa with my 12 year old son. She has convinced him that it will be a better situation than where they currently live. I dont understand how anyone could concieve that a young man not seeing his father on a regular basis would be a "better situation". All of the things that she says this move will provide for them, I can provide immediately. I am fully prepared to take on full custody of him at this very second. Financially, emotionally, economically. I am ready and I always have been for him to move in with me full time. Not halfway across the country.
So in deciding to fight for him, to fight for him to stay near me, I've hired an experienced attorney in these types of moveaway situations. This is not cheap. Good attorneys are not cheap. This case is going to cost me thousands of dollars, but this fight is worth it. My son is worth it. I am asking for financial help from my friends and family to help me with these attourney costs. I am asking for help to cover my retainer fees, which start at $6500. I have maxed out both of my lines of credit trying to cover these costs. The sooner the better.
Any donation that anyone can do to help me will mean the world to me. And if you cant make a donation, just pass this along between our mutual friends.
