<div>My car was completely destroyed, the front end crushed, the bumper torn away, the hood bent in, &amp; the airbags blown. Seeing my car like that was really shocking &amp; honestly

<div>I injured my knee in the accident &amp; now have to use a knee brace &amp; crutches for the next few months. This has not only made daily tasks A LOT harder, it’s added just another layer of stress &amp; frustration to an already overwhelming time.

<div>Not only was I injured, my service dog Bento was in the car with me. He hit the floorboard really hard &amp; injured his neck &amp; chest, which added even more stress to an already traumatizing experience.

<div>To make matters worse, the car I had just purchased turned out to be a scam! I paid $2000 for a car that was only worth $330 &amp; would’ve cost me more than $3,000 Just to make it safe to drive.

<div>The money I paid for it was <strong>literally everything I had.</strong>

<div>I’ve REALLY been struggling since the accident. I’m mentally &amp; physically exhausted, &amp; not to mention, VERY frustrated.
</div>
<div>Losing my only transportation has made everything feel insurmountable.
</div>
<div>I’m doing my best, to keep moving forward &amp; I’m trying to stay positive; but it’s been very difficult. I’m very overwhelmed &amp; know that I can’t get back on my feet without a little help.

<div>Because I live in Leander, a small town just north of Austin, there’s no public transportation to get me to &amp; from Austin &amp; Round Rock for my weekly Dr. &amp; therapy appts. A dependable car isn’t just helpful, it’s absolutely crucial!

<div>Without a vehicle, I also can’t get reimbursed for medical mileage. I really depend on the reimbursement check just to make ends meet every month.
</div>

<div><strong>I’m trying to raise just</strong> <strong>enough money to buy a safe, reliable used car &amp; cover the initial costs that come with that. A dependable car is down right essential for me, &amp; it’s the first step toward getting back my independence.</strong>
