FIGHTING IMMIGRATION INJUSTICE

Donation protected
My mother has been in this country for about 25 years. My parents have been together for about 23 years (in this country). 17 years ago they decided to get legally married here in the U.S. My father became a naturalized citizen and asked the government for my mothers legal status on his behalf. My mother has 4 sons, 3 who were born in this country and my second eldest brother who is a naturalized american citizen. My mother has no criminal record. She has 4 kids who are productive members of society who feel failed by the system and ashamed of how our country is treating our mother. My eldest brother has a daughter on the way. I'm graduating with my bachelors in the fall. My other brother is studying to be a doctor, and my youngest brother is preparing for his senior year in high school. We are trying to make something out of ourselves. My mom and my family NEEDS help.

On March 20th 2018 agents of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) knocked on my door at around 5:59 AM and presented a picture of a random man to my father who answered the door, asking if my father has seen him. When my father responded no they pushed the door open and rushed into my house clearing the premises and quickly took my mother into custody. They sat my family down to watch her be removed without a proper goodbye. They repeated "Welcome to the club buddy" to my 16 year old brother as he was trying to  explain that we are in the middle of a LEGAL process to make her a legal resident. A warrant was never presented.
Since the beginning  we have been going through the proper legal process with the lawyer to grant her permanent residency.  We were waiting for additional information from her records to be delivered to us/the lawyer when this happened.

My family is in need of financial assistance to cover my mothers new legal expenses and keep my family afloat as we take on a new immigration preceding. We are reaching the point where we are out of "emergency" money and are going to have to use money we typically would use to pay bills. Anything you can contribute will make a significant impact on our lives.
