Fighting illegal foreclosure

Donation protected
The financial company that holds our mortgage is illegally trying to foreclose on us and take our house--despite that we have made every mortgage, tax and insurance payment since I built our house in 1985.  We have an injunction from the courts to stop the foreclosure until our suit is heard.  But we have to post a $19,000 bond for the privilege of stopping this illegal act.

You're right, this does not make sense.  That is not stopping the collection company that bought our mortgage from trying to sell our house out from under us.  I tried to talk to them for 3 years to get a clear answer as to why they were doing this.  They misled me, didn't record payments they received, and finally simply filed foreclosure.

Our lawyer filed suit to stop the foreclosure and seek damages.  A judge granted us an injunction, which prevents the mortgage holder from selling before the suit is heard.  But I have to raise $2200 to buy the bond.

We burned through all our savings in 2010-2011 fighting Susan's cancer and getting our business through the world's financial melt down.  We don't have the money to buy the required bond.  If we do not post the bond by mid Dec, we forfeit the injunction and the mortgage holder proceeds with foreclosure.

Please, help us raise the $2200 we need to buy the bond so we can save our house.  Susan now has advanced Alzheimer's (triggered by the cancer treatment).  Our home is the one anchor she has where she feels completely comfortable.  Losing our house would be financial ruin for us, and emotionally devastating for Susan.

Thank you for any help you can offer.  We so very much appreciate your generosity.

Addendum: The fires in Santa Rosa decimated our chocolate & tea shop income through October and into November.  We are still recovering from that blow.  Unfortunately, our income dropped so much from the fires that we could not pay rent on our shop for 2 months.  We sent 1 month of rent in late Nov. and told our business landlord we'd fully catch up through the Holiday chocolate sales.

He was unmoved by the disaster of the fires that has hit all small businesses in the county.  The day before Thanksgiving, he canceled our lease.  So as of Jan. 1, we have no income, and no savings (Susan's cancer in 2010-2012 and building our chocolate kitchen consumed all our savings.)  Our $3300 property tax bill is due by April.   If we don't pay it on time, our home mortgage holder resumes foreclosure proceedings.  So we increased our GoFundMe goal to try to help raise those funds in addition to the bond.
