<div>Hi, my name is Tigerfly. Clearly this isn’t my real name, but I assure you I’m a real person. I have to remain anonymous for legal reasons. I’ll leave my full story below in case you’re interested, but the short of it is this - I’m a mom with 2 young kids on SNAP &amp; about to lose our food benefits right as we head into the holidays.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve only been on SNAP for a few months &amp; it’s because I’m in the middle of a devastating divorce. My ex would rather bankrupt me &amp; force me into poverty than help the mother of his kids get back on her feet after being a SAHM through 2 kids, a pandemic and one giant move. It’s called coercive control &amp; it can be life-shattering.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The truth is, I’m working the most I can. Children require an enormous amount of time &amp; energy, especially small children. I’m working 3 part-time jobs to have the flexibility needed to be there for my kids, but it’s nowhere near enough. And that was before SNAP was set to end, punctuated by the fact we’re heading into the holidays.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Basically I’m in utter free-fall because I trusted the wrong person to do right by his family &amp; now I’m survival mode! And now the safety net I was relying on is disappearing beneath me.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anything &amp; everything helps. I am truly grateful &amp; appreciate the support no matter how big or small. Everything makes a difference
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My long-term goal is to turn this pain into purpose by continuing my work as the founder of Breaking Chains, a platform focused on helping others break free from abuse, neglect, and systemic failure.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve ever felt overlooked, dismissed, or overwhelmed by the system, I see you. Your support means more than I can put into words—and if you can’t donate, sharing this with others can make all the difference.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for being part of my journey to survive, heal and rise ‍
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>
