My friend Cheryl has dedicated her life as a nurse for 29 years, caring above and beyond for every patient she has ever encountered. She has always openly advocated for cancer screening by urging her family, friends, and coworkers to maintain routine medical exams.
She has just been diagnosed with ovarian cancer which will require surgery and chemotherapy. It is time for us to rally back and surround her with all of the love, care, and support that she has given selflessly over the years.
She will be facing some significant medical and personal expenses during her surgery time, chemotherapy, and recovery, and with work time lost. She will probably accrue some personal expenses having genetic testing for her children and grandchildren so that they will benefit from early prevention.
