Fighting Coreen’s Brain Tumors

The summer of 2016 Coreen was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It was fairly large and located in the liquid center of her brain. August 2016 she had it removed by surgery. While recovering from this surgery she cracked one of her vertebrae and had back surgery for this in December 2016.
Two years later, after almost recovered and back to normal health, a MRI showed her brain tumor had come back. Brain surgery again November 2018. Home for two hours after release from hospital and she had a seizure so ambulance ride back to hospital...She is home again now and the anti seizure meds seem to be doing their job.
She is not out of the woods though. She will require radiation to kill the ability for the tumor to come back a third time. She may benefit best from a newer type of radiation treatment called Proton Radiation. This may be the best radiation therapy to protect her short term memory. Of course this is expensive ($150,000 plus), our insurance may not cover any of it and the closest place to receive this treatment is in Boston.
We are blessed with really good health insurance through my employment but our out of pocket costs are rising fast. The amount asked for will bring our medical depts up to date for now but do not include her future radiation costs. I figured first things first and once we have the radiation costs figured out we can amend the total amount asked for her.
Needless to say Coreen has had a very rough two years. She is a wonderful and caring Christian lady who does not deserve these troubles. I am so impressed and inspired by her faith in God and her resilience to face all of this.
