We’re the daughters, sons, and grandchildren of this quiet, humble, hardworking man who spent his early years as a farmer in the Philippines.
We call him Lolo, or Grandpa. He’s very dear to all of us, but since he’s on the other side of the planet, in recent years we’ve only ever seen him via video calls.
During a recent video call, we learned that he has cancer. In several organs.
His medication will cost over $4,000 per month. Health insurance in the Philippines works differently, and won’t cover these costs. We need to raise money to slow down the spread of his cancer—to ease the terrible pain he’s in, and to gain just a little more time to visit him once more, while we still can.
