Fighting for Finn

Our little heart warrior Finn was born on 11/11/2017, happy, cute as a button and with half a heart.

Finn has something called Pulmonary Atresia and Hypoplastic Right Heart, which means the right side of heart, the side that pumps blood to his lungs, is virtually non-existent.

There is no way to "cure" his heart, but his doctors can perform amazing surgeries that reroute his blood vessels and allow him to live a full and awesome life, much like a normal kid.

His doctors expect him to have 3 open heart surgeries within the first few years of his life. He had his first heart surgery on the third day of his life, and there is another coming up on the first of February.  

All these amazing surgeries unfortunately aren't cheap. We've already had to pay numerous thousands of dollars in copay's and out of pocket expenses. By the time he's done with all three of his surgeries, the bills will be in the tens of thousands of dollars.

Our friends and family have been amazingly supportive, and keep asking us what they can do to help. Ordinarily, we'd thank them and say we're doing O.K., but the reality is the bills are starting to become substantial.

So we decided we take everyone  up on their kind offers, put our pride aside and start a GoFundMe campaign, to help Finn get the care he needs to grow up into the awesome kid he's supposed to be.

Any amount will help to offset the costs of care.

Anything we don't use for Finns care, we will donate to other heart warriors like Finn.

Hopefully one day we can pay all of this forward.
