Damien is Fighting for a Cause!
Please help Damien make it to his next fight. It is one that will help many others!
At only 16 years of age, Damien Vazquez became a professional boxer to support his family after his father was injured at work and was no longer able to continue his profession. Now 18 years old, and the holder of the NABF Flyweight title, Damien has run out of the funds needed to make it to his next fight on October 14th.
Never taking anything for granted, Damien has worked hard both at school and at his profession to get where he is today and he understands the value of paying it forward. His grandmother passed from Breast Cancer and his aunt is currently fighting that same battle. As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Damien has pledged to donate a percentage of the purse from his October fight, and from his next 6 fights, to Thérapie where low-income women who have undergone surgery for breast cancer can receive free massage and bodywork to relieve their pain and restore range of motion.
Damien is determined to make it to the fight and will be wearing pink gloves to show his support and encouragement for women fighting to survive. Please help him make it there!
