Fighters for Audrey

Donation protected
Whether you call her Jamie, Nichole, or Pickle, our sweet girl is experiencing every parents' worst nightmare - her precious Audrey Emm has been diagnosed with leukemia type B. There is a 95% survival rate with this disease, but it will be a long, two year battle to get this pretty little diva into remission and ultimately cured!! Nichole and her parents are some of the most generous and selfless people we know. They've provided food and clothing and taken complete strangers into their home just because they saw someone in need and felt like it was the right thing to do. Not once, not twice but over and over again. Well, friends, none of them would ever ask for help for themselves as you will see in Nichole’s  comments below. What she doesn't tell you is that she'll be off work without pay at times in order to be with Audrey. There will be numerous trips to Indy for doctor visits and treatments. The free food isn't always available and the cost of eating out adds up. What Nichole asks for is selfless and necessary. But we, Nichole's family and friends that feel like family, would be forever grateful to anyone who would like to help ease her financial burden so she can concentrate on being little Audrey's #1 Fighter! No amount is too big or too small, and any amount is appreciated!!

"So everyone keeps asking what I need and what they can send to Audrey and the prayers are what we need the most!!! I just wanted to share something with everyone. While being in this unit at Riley I have watched many kids walk by and it just breaks my heart. There are too many little ones up here than there should be and many more that come for treatment. Today before Audrey’s surgery she needed not only blood but also plasma. Today we have been given the chance to stay at the Ronald McDonald house for free and eat for free there as well. When she was scared and she needed her attention to be taken away from everything they brought brand new toys!! Many families can’t even afford to drive up here for their children or eat daily. So I am asking everyone to not only say a prayer for Audrey but all the other children. If you really want to do something else maybe a donation. Either a brand new toy, money, plasma, or even blood one time. This Hospital has been amazing and the staff even better. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!!! So, just think, one person donating blood or plasma could do my little one wonders. While this two year process lasts she will need plasma to maintain her platlets. I used to work at Biolife and I have heard stories of children needing plasma but now it is impacting my life tremendously!! No obligation it was just a thought! Thank you again to everyone for all the well wishes and prayers
