#FIGHTCANCER Allissa Scott VS. Chondrosarcoma

Donation protected
Allissa Scott is 13 years old. She loves to read, craft, and play soccer. Allissa began having frequent headaches and sinus infections. In February 2021, Allissa had awakened with her left eye stationary in one position and incapable of any peripheral vision of the left eye. Furthermore, she had slight swelling on the same side around her nose and eye area. After a doctor's visit and an immediate MRI discovered to be that of a parent's worst nightmare: CANCER.

Allissa suffers from CHONDROSARCOMA, a rare type of bone cancer that can also affect the soft tissue near the bones. In Allissa's case, the tumor is pressing on the optic nerve, affecting her vision and growing into her skull.

Allissa underwent surgery to remove the tumor, but the doctors were only able to remove 85%. After a follow-up visit showed cancer had returned, it was determined to be much more aggressive. Allissa was referred to UAB in Birmingham for a Proton Radiation treatment plan lasting six weeks. The outcome of the treatment plan will determine whether she must have chemo afterward.

Allissa is a fighter, but she has a long road ahead of her. We are requesting prayers, support, and assistance so that she may overcome this.

Any support from our community would be a blessing to her family while contributing to her fight as she presses on with her determination to beat this rare form of cancer.
