Lori's Medical/Wellness Funds

This campaign is to help Lori, my boyfriend’s mom. Lori has chronic pancreatitis, which causes her severe, debilitating pain and hypoglycemia, which causes her blood sugar to drop rapidly to the point where she passes out. About 3 years ago, Lori was rushed to the emergency room for severe abdominal pain only to find out that she was having a pancreatic attack. She was in the hospital for the summer of 2015 and almost didn’t survive. She was then diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. Before her pancreatic attack, she was let go from her job of 20 years as a nurse, and her chronic illnesses have prevented her from working due to the spontaneous symptoms she experiences daily.

Lori also suffers from PTSD due to her hospital experience and is under a great amount of daily stress. She has applied for disability benefits multiple times, however, she continues to get denied these benefits. As of now, she lives with her mother and her two children (ages 26 and 11), who assist in taking care of her. The past 3 years have been very hard for this family emotionally, mentally, and physically, and we want to get them the support they deserve.

We are asking for any contribution you can make to this campaign for Lori and her family. We have set a goal to raise $5,000, and the money received will go toward the following:

-Medical expenses (surgeries, doctors visits/consultations, medical supplies)
-Groceries and personal care items
-Therapy for Lori and her family
-School supplies for Sara, Lori’s daughter
