Fight with Frank Gilliam

THE BACKSTORY
Frank Gilliam has been a valued coworker for the past 20 years and he's an all-around great guy.  I have a filing cabinet full of thanks and praise from all Frank's years with customers.  He is a talented craftsman and a critical member of our team.  He's been battling ear pain and vertigo for the past year.  On November 15th, he arrived at work and told us that he was feeling poorly and was going to try to work but had his doubts.

THE PROBLEM
He left work that day and went to the ER.   Tragically it was discovered that he had a brain abscess and was put on heavy antibiotics, which sadly didn't work.  On Thanksgiving Day, he underwent a five hour brain surgery.  He was released to go home with an IV port to begin the long process of healing.

Since that time, he's developed several more abscesses and his brain has swollen to the point that they had to remove part of his skull to alleviate the pressure.  December 7, his birthday as a matter of fact, he underwent another surgery and they drained two more of the infections.   Unfortunately, the brain swelling prevented them from attempting the third.

December 15 was the first bit of bright news.  His MRI showed that the abscess was responding to the drugs, and he has avoided another surgery for the time being.  When all of this clears up, Frank still faces surgery on his ears to treat the original problem.  It's not hard to imagine that this will be months and months of fighting and fear.

2017 started as a banner year for Frank.  He got married and bought his first home. It's horrifying to think that he could lose all of this; his wife is not able to work either, as he requires 24 hour care.  The special medications are all out of pocket on top of their normal bills.  This is an overwhelming situation!

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Please join me in fighting with Frank.  While he fights for his life, we can fight to see that the dream life he has built for himself with his beautiful wife isn't annihilated.  Every dollar raised will help to take the strain off Frank and Jodi so they can focus solely on Frank's health and strength without this added fear.

Steve and I will give $100.00 for the each of the first $100.00 or more donations made.

Thank you so very much for your generosity and help!!  Please do feel free to share this story.  I will post updates as I'm able and feel free to contact me with any questions.
