OHV and Open Camping Areas in Alberta are Under Attack by Foreign Funded NGOs...help preserve an important part of Albertans’ culture
The closure of the Castle to motorized recreation and open camping is just the first in a series of sweeping changes affecting Alberta’s responsible OHV users and their families. Over 75% of our OHV trails and many of our open camping areas will be eliminated from most of the Eastern Slopes as a result of impending announcements.
Over 500,000 people will be impacted, losing their ability to enjoy the natural landscapes of Alberta as they have done for many years. These are people who love and care for the environment, many investing substantial hours and dollars on environmental stewardship activities.
The loss of these recreation areas is directly related to the influence of wellfunded foreign entities that are intent on implementing significant changes with little to no consultation of the Albertans that are most affected.
Ongoing funding is required to enable the Alberta Off-Highway Vehicle Association to continue the fight against the systemic attack by Y2Y, CPAWS, AWA and other foreign funded ENGOs on motorized recreation and open camping in Alberta.
