Fight to Bring Addison Home

Donation protected
Addison went to visit her Grandmother and Uncle over her fall break.  She was supposed to be returned to us today at 2pm.  But, instead of being returned, DJ's brother filed for an emergency petition for guardianship in West Virginia. In order to do this, a judge had to be made to believe that there is an immediate and present risk of physical danger and psychological harm to Addison. This order was signed and as of yesterday, October 12th, DJ has lost custody of Addison until further order of the family court of West Virginia. The reasons for this order to have been  signed are not yet known to us, as DJ is waiting to be served the papers. But, we suspect that it is motivated by homophobia and hateful intentions. Rae and I are asking our community to help us fight for Addison's return immediately. We have an attorney in West Virginia willing to fight with us and we need to secure a retainer for his representation as soon as Monday morning. DJ has been summoned to a court hearing on October 24th, which gives us only 11 days to compile our case. This battle must be fought in the state of West Virginia. Which will require us both to travel and take time off from our own businesses. If you can not financially contribute, you can still help. We ask that you share this post with everyone you know. And no contribution is too small. Please join us in the fight for Addison, time is of the essence here and she needs to be home with us...where she is greatly missed and loved.
